Is there any chance to see the Gift Card / Gift Certificates functionality implemented in the upcoming version of AliCommerce shopping cart?

We've purchased the Professional version of the shopping cart, version 2 has "coupons", but that's definitely not enough to satisfy our client's needs.

Actually, we're ready to develop that functionality ourselves, but, unfortunately, AliCommerce lacks API and we cannot integrate any custom modules into the shopping cart workflow:(

Please let us know if some cooperation / collaboration is possible here or if we can expect that feature implemented in the new version (beta will do).
