I've just started playing with the product attributes in V2 and I've found something that makes for a bit of a confusing shopping experience and so I'd like to request an enhancement to the feature.
I wanted to create a generic "Colour" attribute that could be applied to many of our product lines, which incorporated all possible colour variants across our range of products. Not all products have all colours available, in fact out of 7 possible colours most products are only available in 2 or 3 colours maximum, but the colour choices vary with product group. I added an image radio button attribute so that the customer could see a swatch of the colours available, and then disabled the colour variants not relevant when adding it to a product. The problem is that all the colours show as options, with a message that says that the option chosen isn't available if they select an option that isn't purchaseable. Is it possible to change this to hide the variants that aren't available for that particular product rather than showing a message? The current system gives me the impression that customers will become frustrated trying to hunt for the colour options which are purchaseable, rather than simply being offered the short list of what is available for purchase.
I love this new feature in V2 but I'm now afraid to use it in case it causes more customer frustration than simply having 2 or 3 clones of the base product.
