I've got a few offers on my site now using coupon codes, which works nicely.  I've set them up as Product-based offers as I don't want shipping to be affected, but I've also added the offer to all my products.  My problem is that when I add new products to my database, I then have to set about updating all my offers to include the new products and sometime I do forget to do this.

Would it be possible to upgrade this feature in the future to allow offers to be attached to Categories?  That way when a new product is added to a category with an attached offer, the new product is automatically included in the offers currently running.  That would be "the icing on the cake" to a very nice existing feature.

It could still happen now with individual products and several offers of different amounts.  It's important to be sure that the offer is the key factor, rather than the category.  The category is simply the route to the product in question.  If an offer applies to a category, then it applies to all products in that category, as if the product itself was applied to the offer.
