So can I use website payments Standard?? I live in australia, what is the best company to go with to accept credit cards..

Yes, it's integrated in alicommerce. Make sure you secure shopping cart page if you are going to accept credit card payment, no matter which payment gateway you use.

No, PayPal payment standard is not supported at the moment. Besides shopping cart page, you need to secure store admin page too if you store credit card numbers for future capture, refund or void. We suggest you secure login page too.
