I'm executing some sql script on the LongDesription field to remove some undesirable html.  The problem is the changes don't take affect until I actually edit the product via Store Admin and Click Update.  Just to be clear, under store admin / product edit I do not modify the longDescription whatsoever I only click the product udpate button and the changes appear.  It's like the data is being cached but I've gone as far to restart the application, IIS-7 and clear DNN cache.

Any ideas?

Another strange observation I've discovered about this is that if I edit a product and place FCK Editor in "Basic Text Box" mode and proceed to make changes to the html then update the product it does NOT apply the changes to the product.

In one case I removed quotes, updated the product, then viewed in a different browser and the quote was still there.  When I switch to "Rich Text Editor" mode and follow the same process then the updates apply.

This may help you pinpoint the issue.
