Today I'm pleased to announce that AliCommerce 2.0 is released officially after 6-month development. This is the first major release since AliCommerce 1.0 was released last October. Most feature and enhancement requests we received in last 8 months are implemented in this release. While a few important features are missing, we can still confidently say overall it's comparable to ANY asp.net shopping cart in the world, let alone DNN shopping cart.

Since this question has been asked many times, I think it's worth an entry in blog.

 Some New features in AliCommerce 2.0

  • Unlimited variant attributes per product, like size and colour.
  • Enable/Disable some variants
  • Variants can override information like name, SKU, descriptions, prices, weight, shipping fee, handling fee and image.
  • Track inventory for specified variants.

Just FYI, DNN 4.8.3 Released. This release fixes 4 security vulnerabilities reported in the last two weeks. If you're running a DNN production site, I strongly recommend you upgrade it to the latest version.

Just a quick update. The following features/enhancements are finished.

  • Human friendly url
  • Localization
  • Improvements on category templates for better SEO and support of banner image and description
  • PayPal Website Payments Pro

Beta 2 will be released on 26 May and we plan to release the final version around 16 June.

First let me introduce myself. My name is Frank Wang and I'm software architect of AliCommerce. I have been working in IT industry for 11 years. I hold both bachelor and master degrees in computer engineering and love programming.
